Like most travel businesses, the Covid-19 pandemic was a challenge for Martin Randall Travel, so Fiona asked TTC to help with financial modelling and updates to forecasts across the group to manage cash, liquidity, and financial covenants during the pandemic.
As well as overseeing the internal finance team, TTC acted as a sounding board to senior management, advising on various financial and regulatory matters. The TTC Finance team built a new financial model to consolidate group forecasts and assess the impact on cash under multiple scenarios. We also prepared rolling-financial forecasts to present at monthly board meetings and helped with regulatory negotiations and stakeholder requests.
With TTC’s support, Martin Randall Travel emerged from the pandemic in a strong financial position, with an excellent opportunity to return to growth. Fiona and the team have a robust financial model in place to provide forward visibility and act as a planning tool for the future.
