Diversity Travel, an international travel management company (TMC) serving the humanitarian, academic and not-for-profit sectors, has received substantial investment from private equity firm Primary Capital, and alternative finance provider, Thincats.
Diversity was founded in Manchester in 2008 by Harish Sodha, Chris Airey, Matt Truin and Sarah Burrows. These days it operates globally, providing travel services to more than 900 clients, helping them deliver important humanitarian and academic work around the world.
Primary Capital has taken a majority equity stake in Diversity alongside Harish, Chris and the senior management team, with additional funding provided by Thincats.
TTC’s strategy team, led by Martin Alcock supported the transaction by providing regulatory advice and specialist insurance broking.
“Diversity is a travel company making a genuine difference in the world. As the go-to travel experts for the charity and not-for-profit sector, they help those who do good go far.
Congratulations to Harish, Chris, Eddie and the Diversity team on completing the transaction. And good luck to Alec and the Primary capital team who are backing the next phase of the Diversity mission”
