Luxury Escapes, an online travel agent (OTA) based in Singapore and Australia, wanted to expand into the UK market.
As the UK travel sector is highly regulated, Luxury Escapes knew they would have to obtain licences they hadn’t needed before and set out to get an ATOL.
Unfortunately, the process wasn’t as easy as Luxury Escapes hoped. The team encountered a few hurdles, meaning the application was stuck and had to delay the launch. Navigating the complex UK travel regulations is difficult if you haven’t experienced them before. Luxury Escapes needed a UK liaison specialist to help them move forward with their ATOL application. This is where TTC stepped in.
By adjusting our working hours, we were able to act as an intermediary between Luxury Escapes and the CAA. We used our knowledge of UK licences and our combined 57 years of experience working at the CAA to help overcome the obstacles.
After several weeks of working with TTC, Luxury Escapes received an offer from CAA and the licence was granted soon after allowing the business to launch its flight package programme in the UK.
