A unique travel business looking for an ATOL

Journee, a holiday company based on the concept of matching people with a surprise destination, required an ATOL to sell flights with its holidays. Co-founder Ed Tribe knew it was a complex process and wasn’t sure where to start. He needed support from travel regulation experts and contacted TTC for advice.

Regulatory advice accompanied by TTC Finance team support

Using our 57 combined years working at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), we ensured Journee’s ATOL application was completed correctly, and the CAA offered terms consistent with other companies. During the process, the CAA asked Journee to submit the latest accounts and financial projections. TTC Finance stepped in to put these together, meaning that Journee didn’t have to source a separate travel accountant. Our regulatory and finance teams worked together to support Journee through the application process.

The result

We used our specific travel accounting knowledge to ensure Journee’s accounts were up to date and in line with the CAA’s requirements. The regulatory team processed the ATOL application quickly, and Journee had its ATOL granted. The TTC team continue to help Journee with finance and regulatory support.
